Subject: Matt's aircraft

Mr. & Mrs. Meier:

Not only did Matt’s aircraft serve United Airlines and their customers, his plane helped families unite with one another, moved families across the country, allowed successful business trips to happen, made family and friends proud, educated and promoted the aviation spirit, and served our county by moving our military personal through good times and sad. His plane created stories of inspiration and brought families, friends and even strangers closer together. Matt’s plane was not just a United Airlines plane it was a PLANE THAT UNITED!

It truly is a sad day not just for me, but also it is a sad day for the FAMILIES THAT WERE, AND STILL ARE UNITED because of his touch.

With love and God’s speed,

Chris Grames ~ 9933 Forever!

Chris Grames was a co-worker with Matt at United.  What a great guy.

Subject: Matt's aircraft

Hello All/Aloha,

Well today is what is likely the last flight for Plane 9933, Matt's aircraft. After our SIU flight the aircraft flew until May 4 and ended it line flying on May 4, 2009. The last scheduled flight went into Denver and from May 4 to May 7 it stayed in DEN.  It was then ferried to SFO and placed in storage from May 7 until today, June 9. While in "storage" I think they changed out parts, engines, etc.

Today we are scheduled to operate ferry Flight 9936-09,, no passengers, an equipment move of Matt's plane from San Francisco to ARG (Walnut Ridge Regional Arkansas). It departs at 1130 and arrives at 1719.This airport is in  Northern Arkansas near Southern Missouri. This I'm told is an ex-military base and  ex military airfield.

Matt's aircraft served United and United's customers very well.

Take care,

Jim Pierscionek (OPBW – United Airlines)
